Our site in Florala, Alabama, contains a high-quality sedimentary limestone deposit formed from ancient marine life. By definition, limestone contains at least 50% calcium carbonate (calcite) by weight. Geological classification places our material as Fossiliferous Limestone (#8 in standard limestone types). This fossil-rich, marine-origin rock—locally known by the common name “limerock”—is naturally durable, chemically stable, and ideal for producing strong, well-compacting construction aggregates. Its unique composition and texture deliver excellent load-bearing capacity, drainage, and long-term performance in road base and concrete applications. Every ton we produce comes directly from this certified deposit, ensuring consistent quality for FDOT and ALDOT projects across Florida and Alabama
